Paper Flowers

Sharing a post from an interesting blog I found:

Can I claim to know exactly what is happening in this image?  Nope, not a chance.  But can I guess?  Certainly.
A fairy of the forest and her rabbit companion (displayed as an anthropomorphism), pass by the traveling girl.  The floating spirits, the rushing companions: they move to a meeting.  A forest meeting?  A dance of legend?  Perhaps so.
I love that art is never certain.  I love that one image can be so many different things.  And I love it when even I’m not positive.
But here, here I love the soft touch of the colors.  I enjoy that the figures are small: they’re not the focus.  The forest, everything in the image, is the focus.  We are being directed to see the forest, not the trees.  And, for once, it’s not the cute girl that I see first: it’s the white spirits floating above.
But once you look a little closer, there’s a pleasant surprise.  Small figures, subtle colors, gentle effect.  And yet they carry something to precious.  Stars, wishes, dreams: who knows?

Consider a visit? :3 A lot of the posts are quite fun to read. If only more people would see and enjoy the art with its beauty and freedom of interpretation, and not just skim through focusing on technical details and procedures.

Hence, I try to write complete papers on my interpretation on a classmate's photograph. My piano teacher taught me to always question myself:

What does the music make you feel? How can you describe it in a way that makes it unique.

What does it mean to you.

It is the why that is more important than the how.
