Beethoven Society Celebration!

Yesterday was quite an amazing day.

Well except this. 2:21 AM is so "orz
I was invited to the American Beethoven Society to perform the second movement of Beethoven's Opus 90 sonata along with the two other finalists. It was very much fun, and the music was, of course, beautiful~

A few pictures are attached below!

They had they really cool transparent pianos on the tables as well!
Wine and cheese were offered to the guests. For the record, I didn't get drunk. Or did I. I don't remember. Kidding~

Dessert was absolutely delicious. Oh gosh.
Haha~ My "Minor/Major" sonata. Christopher O'Riley nicknamed it the "Schizophrenic Sonata." For a good reason too! The first movement is stormy, passionate, and very impulsive. The second movement is the complete opposite - tender, singing, and very stable and melodic. The two movements perfectly balance each other. The addition of a third movement would ruin this~ Hence, two movements. Just like Op. 111. That sonata I absolutely love.
Hehehehe
Theodora's father was so nice to have made a DVD from the competition. Unfortunately I didn't like my playing in it. :c
Whoa! ~<3
Beethoven's "ASDKLFHA THIS DOESN'T WORK AHHH" moments.
Unfortunately, I also had to do work that was due the next day. Pooh.

On a side note, something interesting outside of music:

  1. Hurrr your name's so generic

Anyways, tried playing both of them sometime earlier; but they just sounded so.. strange. Especially No. 32, diminished chords in first bar?

    *shudders*

  2. Oh, also, I'm a year earlier than that sophomore kid for Waldstein.
